Michael Shoesmith

Michael Shoesmith, P.Eng, serves as a Principal Consultant in Climate Change and Renewables at ERM since April 2022, focusing on climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning, particularly in public sector and Indigenous contexts. Previously, Michael held various roles at Stratos, an ERM Group company, including Managing Consultant for Climate Change Leadership and Adaptation and Senior Technical Consultant. Prior experience includes work at Ramboll as a Senior Consultant, where responsibilities included leading HAZOP risk assessments for vaccine manufacturing and developing management tools for CO2 and water performance. Michael began a career at Sanofi Pasteur as an Environmental Engineer in Training, concentrating on wastewater risk assessments and corporate environmental monitoring. Michael earned a B.A.Sc in Chemical Engineering with an Environmental Specialization from Queen's University in 2014.
