Katarina Hellberg

Katarina Hellberg is a highly experienced medical professional specializing in palliative medicine and surgery. Currently serving as a Specialistläkare and Läkarchef at Ersta diakoni since June 2019, Katarina also holds the title of Överläkare at the Ersta palliativa klinik. Prior to this role, Katarina gained significant experience at Stockholms Sjukhem as a Specialistläkare in surgery and ST-läkare in palliative medicine from January 2017 to June 2019, and at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, where appointments included Specialistläkare and ST-läkare in surgery between March 2008 and January 2017. Additionally, Katarina contributed to healthcare as an AT-läkare at Södersjukhuset AB and as an Underläkare at both Brommageriatriken and NU-sjukvården early in the medical career, which began with a Läkarexamen from Karolinska Institutet between 1999 and 2005. Beyond the medical field, Katarina has been the Dirigent for Damkören SALT since 2003.
