Martin Balaz

Martin Balaz, CFA, has over a decade of experience in the finance sector, currently serving as a Risk Planning and Stress Testing Expert at Erste Group Bank AG since June 2014. In this role, Martin focuses on the analysis, forecasting, and budgeting of key risk indicators for the Group. Prior to this, Martin worked as a Macro/Fixed-income Analyst at SLSP, where responsibilities included analyzing macroeconomic developments, collaborating on research publications, and presenting to various bank clients. Martin's career also includes positions as an account manager for large corporate clients, a junior equity analyst, and a writer on investment topics. Martin holds multiple degrees in finance and business administration from universities including Univerzita Komenského in Bratislava and the University of Vienna, along with executive education at IMD.
