Vanja Vulić

Vanja Vulić has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Vanja is currently the Modeling and Analytics Team Lead at Erste&Steiermärkische Bank d.d. (Erste Bank Croatia), a position they have held since July 2021. Previously, they worked at the same company as a Data Scientist / Data Analyst in the KEKS Pay team, where they analyzed complex datasets to identify customer needs and design effective strategies. Vanja also worked as the Head of Financial Modeling and Research at Erste Bank Croatia and as a Senior Quantitative Analyst in the Quantitative Research Department.

Before joining Erste Bank Croatia, Vanja worked as a Programmer and Project Designer at Libusoft d.o.o. In addition, they served as a Designer of Applications and Databases at the Privatization Agency of the Republic of Serbia and as the Head of Department for Statistical Reporting and Informatics at the Large Taxpayer's Office (Tax Administration). Vanja also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade, where they taught economic-statistical software and basics of statistical analysis.

Vanja'searly career included roles as a Programmer and Project Designer at the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia and as a Teaching Assistant for Basics of Statistical Analysis at the Faculty of Economics, Belgrade.

Throughout their career, Vanja has developed a range of skills in analysis, statistics, probability, programming languages (SAS, Python, R, H2O), statistical modeling, machine learning, database design and management, data mining, business intelligence, data warehousing, and more. Vanja is known for their problem-solving, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning abilities, as well as their expertise in data quality assessment, data visualization, and reporting techniques.

Vanja Vulić holds a Master of Science degree in Theoretical Statistics from the University of Belgrade, which was obtained between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, they attended the University of Belgrade from 1994 to 1999, specializing in Statistics and Informatics. Vanja's education journey began at the "Nikola Tesla" Electrotechnical High School in Belgrade, where they studied Computers and Programming from 1990 to 1994.
