K. Vaidyanathan

K. Vaidyanathan is the current Non-Executive Director at ESAB India. Prior to this, they were with STERLING CELLULAR LIMITED - ESSAR/SWISSCOM JV from September 1996 to October 1997 as Group CFO. Their responsibilities included ensuring compliance of shareholders agreement, accounting, financial reporting and financial operations of the business, recruiting and supervising all financial and commercial employees, business plans and annual budgets, internal audit, raising of funds from domestic and foreign sources, treasury operations, approval of financial terms & procurement (& commercial decisions), company secretarial functions, etc.

From October 1997 to September 2001, they were with SAMSONS GROUP as GROUP DIRECTOR FINANCE & STRATEGIC PLANNING. Their job responsibilities included Financial restructuring, Strategic and Long Term Planning, Budgeting, Hiving off units / Joint Venture, Information Technology, Top Level interaction with FI’s/FII’s/Banks besides Accounts, Internal Audit, Legal and Secretarial functions.

K. has also served as Director Finance and Member on the Board of Birla VXL from August 1995 to September 1996 and as Director Finance and Member on the Board of Modi Tyres and Firestone Co. from April 1990 to August 1995.

K. Vaidyanathan is an FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. K. has also completed their M.Com from the University of Calcutta in the fields of Accounts, Economics, Tax, and Business Management. Finally, they have completed their B.Com (Hons) from the University of Calcutta in Commerce, Accounts, and Management.
