Reji Varughese

Reji Varughese is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the banking and software engineering sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Digital Banking Technology at ESAF Bank since January 2024, Reji previously held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Digital Nirvana, Inc., where responsibilities included leading a team of 50 software engineers, managing software development cycles, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. Earlier roles included Vice President of Technology at BASIX, where Reji developed IT strategies and managed operations, as well as Information Technology Specialist at Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, where contributions focused on SME loan products. Reji's career began at Coromondal Marketing Corporation as a Computer Programmer, with further experience in roles such as Manager of EDP and Senior Executive in IT. Reji holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Sikkim Manipal University, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Mahatma Gandhi University, and a PGDCA in Computer Science from IHRDE Trivandrum.
