ESC Region 11
Kristina Turner, Ed.D., is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in leadership and school improvement roles. Currently serving as the Coordinator of Leadership and Support and Administrator Coach at ESC Region 11 since July 2022, Kristina previously held the position of Division Director at the Texas Education Agency, where leadership was provided for the Division of Safe and Supportive Schools. Kristina also served as Area Superintendent and Director of School Improvement at Arlington ISD, guiding multiple campuses and coordinating district improvement projects. Earlier roles include Manager of Instructional Leadership at ESC Region 11, School Principal at Crowley ISD, and Assistant Principal and Teacher positions at Fort Worth ISD and Richardson Independent School District. Kristina holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Dallas Baptist University, alongside a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Educational Leadership and History from The University of Texas at Arlington.

As an intermediary educational agency, ESC Region 11 provides professional development, technical assistance, and management of educational programs to 76 public school districts, 17 public charter schools, 90 charter campuses, and 150 private schools. We serve a total of 592,249 total students and 77,517 educational personnel. With an area covering 10 counties of North Texas, Region 11 services an area of 7,843 square miles, roughly equal to the state of Massachusetts in size. School districts in this region range in size from Fort Worth Independent School District's large metropolitan schools to small rural districts with only one building housing a total of 80 students in grades K-9. The Service Center is centrally located in White Settlement, Texas, just west of Fort Worth, Texas, and is surrounded by many community and cultural resources.
