Kernon Brye

Kernon Brye, CAC, has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the medical and financial sectors. Currently serving as a Medical Coding Specialist and SOSA/Records Custodian at the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners since September 2016, Kernon Brye is responsible for processing record requests and assisting with revenue and customer transactions in the EMS Billing department. Prior experience includes working as a HIPAA compliance consultant at Medical Records Express, LLC, where responsibilities involved submitting record requests for lawsuits and following up with healthcare facilities. Earlier in the career, Kernon Brye served at Members First Credit Union of FL as a Teller, MSR, and Loan Officer, handling transactions and processing new accounts and loans. Education was completed at Booker T. Washington High School with a diploma in General Studies.
