Monika Kowalczyk has a diverse work experience ranging from brand director roles to marketing and event management. Monika started their career in 2008 as an artist management intern at C3 Presents. From there, they gained experience in event management at South by Southwest Music Festival and Circuit of the Americas. In 2010, they served as the Austin City Editor at Citysearch. In 2014, they worked as the Manager of Marketing, Events & Business Development at Austin Way Magazine. Monika also held the position of Chief Marketing Thinker at Thinkbaby Thinksport. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in marketing and artist/client services roles. Most recently, they have worked as a brand director at Escape Artists and CANVAS 1839.
Monika Kowalczyk attended Immaculate Heart of Mary High School from 2001 to 2005. After completing high school, they enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree from 2005 to 2008. During their time at the university, they focused on studies related to Radio-Television-Film/Media Studies and also completed the Business Foundations program.
