Brandon Selfridge

Principal Scientist, Chemistry at Escient Pharmaceuticals

Brandon Selfridge has worked in the field of pharmaceuticals since 2006. Brandon obtained their PhD from The Pennsylvania State University in 2006, followed by an IRTA post-doctoral research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where their laboratory focus was Synthesis of opiate analogs for the treatment and prevention of drug abuse. During this time, they also synthesized (+)-naltrexone analogs in the search for Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4) antagonists, with two first author publications in J. Med. Chem. In 2014, they joined Dart NeuroScience as a Scientist 1 in the Chemistry Department. Brandon then moved to Escient Pharmaceuticals in 2018, where they currently work as a Senior Scientist.

Brandon Selfridge earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Lafayette College between 2001 and 2005. Brandon then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University from 2006 to 2012.
