Marc Mertsching has over 30 years of experience in engineering and leadership positions. Marc started their career at Stanford Telecom, where they managed a team of engineers and designed chips and software for wireless access data and telephony. Marc then worked at Andrew Corporation, leading a group that designed advanced satellite IP packet MESH systems. Marc also worked at RFMD (through the acquisition of Resonext) as the VP of Engineering, where they led a team in the design and delivery of two generations of 802.11a/g WiFi chipsets. Marc continued their career as the VP of Engineering at Amicus Wireless, Quantenna Communications, and Quantance Inc., before moving to their current role as the VP of Engineering at Esencia Technologies Inc. There, they led a team in the design and delivery of a multi-rate Ethernet switch and PCI express bridge. Marc has experience working with teams based in various locations, including the US, China, India, and Australia, and has led successful technology transfers.
Marc Mertsching graduated with a BA in Applied Mathematics (DSP and Numerical Analysis) from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981.
