Ben Cotton

Ben Cotton is an accomplished professional in cybersecurity and information technology management with extensive experience spanning several decades. As the Vice President for Incident Response at eSentire since June 2021, Ben has contributed to significant advancements in incident management. Ben is also a member of the BYU Cyber Research and Advisory Board since May 2013. As the founder of Cyber Technology Services, Inc. and CyFIR, Ben has demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership, while previous roles include Instructor at Guidance Software and Director of the Commercial Services Division at Emerging Technology Group. Ben's career began in the US Army, culminating in the role of Chief Warrant Officer, and included a position as Senior Forensic Examiner at the Drug Enforcement Administration. Ben holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a high school diploma from Sheridan High School.
