Vusi Phiri

Vusi Phiri is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, serving as Chief Engineer in Asset Management since January 2009, where responsibilities include developing comprehensive maintenance strategies for cable systems and overhead lines. Vusi has held various roles, including Manager of Standard Implementation in the Mpumalanga Operating Unit, ensuring adherence to design integrity and maintenance standards, and served as Standard Implementation Engineer, where evaluation and recommendations for engineering changes were made. Previously trained as an Engineer in Training across multiple engineering departments, Vusi also operates as a qualified Installation Electrician in a private capacity since June 2022. Vusi holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of South Africa, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
