Wayne Mahlare

Wayne Mahlare is an experienced engineer currently serving as a C&I Systems Engineer at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd since October 2024. Prior to this role, Wayne held the position of Electrical Projects Engineer at Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd from January 2020 to November 2024, where responsibilities included scope development for plant engineering projects and conducting technical investigations. Earlier experience includes roles as a Junior Projects Engineer and Engineer In Training, focusing on maintenance of high voltage electrical systems. Wayne's professional journey began with an internship in network operations at Cell C, alongside contributions to mentorship programs at the Kutlwanong Centre for Maths Science & Technology and ProMaths Society. Academic credentials include an MSc in Engineering Management and BEng (Hons) in Engineering and Technology Management from the University of Pretoria, along with a BEng in Electrical Engineering and additional training in junior engineering.
