Rebecca started their career in 1997 as a Public Relations Manager at Niehaus Ryan Wong, where they were responsible for media relations and played a key role in launching the iMac into the education market. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as a Product Manager at Ninth House, Inc., leading a cross-functional team in developing leadership development solutions. Rebecca then joined K12, Inc. in 2002 as the Assistant Head of School for California Virtual Academies, overseeing charter agreements, faculty hiring, enrollment, and teacher evaluations.

In 2011, Rebecca joined The Branson School, where they held multiple roles. Rebecca first served as a Development Specialist, contributing to fundraising, database management, event planning, and stewardship, while also acting as a faculty advisor and student advisor. Later, they became the Director of Alumni Relations, achieving a top 10 position for alumni participation rate and spearheading programs to increase alumni engagement and support. Rebecca remained at The Branson School until 2022.

Rebecca's most recent work experience includes positions at ESM Prep and Next Generation Scholars (NGS). At ESM Prep, they worked as a College Counseling - Essay Coach starting in 2022. At NGS, they held the role of College Counselor and Essay Coach, supporting a cohort of first-generation college applicants. These roles reflect their expertise in college counseling and essay coaching.

Rebecca Houser attended The Branson School from 1988 to 1992 and obtained a high school diploma. Rebecca then pursued their higher education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications, Political Science, and Marketing. Currently, they are enrolled at UCLA from 2021 to 2023, working towards obtaining a College Counseling Certificate with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Administration.
