Loukas Kaskarelis

Loukas Kaskarelis is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in banking and economic policy. Currently serving as a Senior Banking Expert at the European Stability Mechanism since June 2016, Loukas previously worked as an Economist at the European Commission within the DG FISMA and DG ECFIN, focusing on the Economic Adjustment Programme for Greece. Prior experience includes risk management roles at Euroclear, where responsibilities encompassed developing risk management strategies and training. Loukas began professional endeavors in 2004 at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, supporting political and financial affairs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Energy Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Investment, Finance & Risk Management from City, University of London.
