Christopher P. Buttigieg

Christopher P. Buttigieg is an Associate Professor at the University of Malta since September 2009, with a focus on Banking and Finance. Buttigieg also holds significant roles at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as Chair of the Proportionality and Coordination Committee and as a member of the ESMA Board of Supervisors. Additionally, Buttigieg is a member of the European Banking Authority (EBA) Supervisory Board and has been involved with the Malta Financial Services Authority in various capacities since June 2000, including Chief Officer of Supervision. Buttigieg's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Law Studies from the University of Sussex, along with multiple degrees in European Law, Financial Services, and Commerce.
