Francesco Saita

Francesco Saita is a prominent academic and financial expert, currently serving as a member of the Consultative Working Group of the Risk Standing Committee at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) since November 2023. At Università Bocconi, Francesco holds multiple significant roles, including Director of the Financial Education Research Unit at Baffi Carefin and Full Professor of Financial Markets and Institutions. Francesco has also served as Director of the Baffi CAREFIN Centre, Dean of the Graduate School, Head of the Department of Finance, and Vice Director of the Newfin Research Center on Financial Innovation. In addition to academic roles, Francesco has experience in the banking sector, having held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board at FinecoBank from 2014 to 2023, with leadership roles in various committees, and previously served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Banca Aletti and Fondi Alleanza SGR. Francesco earned a Laurea in Economics from Università Bocconi between 1986 and 1991.
