Paul McGivern

Paul McGivern has extensive experience as a Database Administrator, with roles in several companies throughout their career. Paul started their career in 1997 at Lotus Development as a Software Engineer. From there, they worked as a Technical Manager at Sysco Software Solutions from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, they joined Moy Park as a Database Administrator, where they stayed until 2006 and was responsible for overseeing database operations. Paul then joined Candidate Manager as an Operations Team Lead and worked there until 2011. In 2011, they became an Independent Consultant, specializing in database administration. During this time, they also worked as a Database Administrator at RTE until 2014. From 2014 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Database Administrator at Vesta Corporation. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Database Administrator at ESO, starting in 2022.

Paul McGivern attended Queen's University Belfast from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Paul successfully completed their Bachelor of Science Honours (BSc Hons) in Computer Science during this period.
