The Community Engagement and Advocacy team at Esperanza United focuses on empowering and amplifying the voices of Latin@ communities, particularly in the context of domestic and gender-based violence. They build and maintain strong community relationships, facilitate leadership development, and coordinate advocacy efforts at local, state, and federal levels. This team works on gathering community input, sharing impactful stories with policymakers, and ensuring that advocacy efforts are driven by the lived experiences and needs of Latin@ families. They are pivotal in both grassroots mobilization and high-level policy reform initiatives.
