Founder & CEO at Esports One

Matt Gunnin is the Founder and CEO of Esports One. Matt has over 7 years of experience in the esports industry, having worked as the Vice President of Product at Unikrn and the Director of Content at Azubu.

At Unikrn, Matt oversaw all website development and operations for Unikrn and its subsidiaries. Matt managed a global development team and quickly transitioned them to the agile methodology using the scrum framework for product releases and improvement. Matt also led the expansion of Unikrn's real money product throughout Europe & Australia, and substantially improved site stability and performance through the creation of QA & QC guidelines.

At Azubu, Matt was responsible for site-wide content initiatives of Azubu.tv & Esportspedia, including strategy and execution, curation and production, and quality assurance. Matt also worked closely with members of the Marketing, PR, BI and Creative Departments to design and package content.

Matt founded Esports One in 2016 with the goal of providing comprehensive data and analytics solutions for the esports industry. Under their leadership, Esports One has become the go-to source for esports data, powering some of the biggest events in the industry such as the Overwatch League and ELEAGUE Major Boston.

Matt Gunnin received their Bachelor's in Wireless Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. Matt also has certifications from Microsoft in MCITP, CompTIA in A+ and Network+, and Red Hat in RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
