Charles Yu Qian

Charles Yu Qian has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Charles Yu is currently working as the Head of Electric Assets at ESP Utilities Group Ltd. Prior to this, they held various roles at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, including ED2 Portfolio Manager, Overhead Line Project Manager, Cable Project Manager, and Substation Design Engineer. During their early career, they participated in a Graduate Programme where they gained experience in different business units and managed projects under the guidance of their placement managers. Charles Yu'swork experience demonstrates their skills in project management, stakeholder engagement, design management, and financial management.

Charles Yu Qian completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Heriot-Watt University from 2005 to 2009. Charles Yu then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Bath from 2010 to 2012. After a few years, they attended the University of Strathclyde from 2016 to 2019, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Engineering Project Management. Most recently, Charles graduated from the Cranfield School of Management in 2022 with an Executive MBA, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
