Richard Hatfield

Richard Hatfield is an experienced Principal Systems Engineer and Team Lead at Esri since December 2013, specializing in cloud engineering and automation using Terraform in AWS and Azure. Richard has developed tools with technologies such as NodeJS, React, and Go, and previously held roles as an Enterprise Application Architect and Software Engineer, focusing on standards and best practices for application development. Prior to Esri, Richard worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Spireon, Senior Front End Engineer at Eventful, and Software Engineer at multiple companies, including Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment. Richard's educational background includes degrees in Graphic Design from the Art Institute and Westwood College of Technology, alongside earlier studies at Riverside City College.
