Marlies Koch

Marlies Koch began their career in 2012 as a Project Leader in International Business Development at REHAU. In 2013 they became the Owner and Travel Agent for student and tourist journeys to Jordan at Desert Rose Tours E.Kfr. In 2017, they moved to Diehl Metering GmbH as an International Business Development and in 2019 they began working as a Marketing and Communication at ESW Vision. Additionally, they are currently a Global Account Manager at ESS - Engineering Software Steyr. In this role, they are responsible for stakeholder engagement, business plan development and strategy planning, resource planning, funding/finance planning, risk management, government entity relation management, and manpower management. Marlies also does international business development, sales, contract negotiations, investor relationship management, and part of the accounting. Additionally, they have experience as an Interpreter German/Arabic from 2014 while they were self-employed during their studies.

Marlies Koch completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Orientalism and economy from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. Marlies then studied Arabic at the University of Jordan from 2010 to 2011. Finally, they obtained a Master of Arts - MA in Middle Eastern studies with a focus on Economics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2018.
