Alessandra Cesano

Alessandra Cesano is the current Chief Medical Officer at ESSA Pharmaceuticals. Prior to their current position, they held various other positions in the medical and pharmaceutical industry.

Cesano started their career at Amgen, Inc. in 2000 as part of the clinical development and regulatory team. Alessandra then moved to Biogen Idec in 2006, where they became the Vice President of Oncology.

In 2008, Cesano left Biogen Idec to become the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Nodality Inc. Alessandra held this position until 2014, when they left to join Cleave Biosciences as their Chief Medical Officer. Cesano remained at Cleave until 2015 before joining their current company, NanoString Technologies, Inc.

Alessandra Cesano reports to David Parkinson, President & CEO. They work with David S. Wood - Chief Financial Officer, Peter Virsik - EVP & COO.
