Pankaj Kalra

Pankaj Kalra has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Pankaj is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Group Chief Financial Officer at ESSAR EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION INDIA LIMITED from November 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining ESSAR, Pankaj worked at Cairn Oil and Gas as the Chief Financial Officer from January 2014 to April 2019. Pankaj also served as the Business CFO- Wireless, Broadband and DTH : Sr Vice President at Reliance Infocomm Limited from April 2013 to January 2014.

Pankaj's earlier experiences include working as the Vice President: Head - Treasury and Project Finance and Management Accounting at Aircel from September 2008 to April 2013, General Manager - Circle Finance Head at Idea Cellular Ltd from April 2002 to June 2008, and Manager - Finance & Accounts at Sprint RPG India Limited from September 2000 to February 2002.

Pankaj started their career at Ernst & Young as a Manager- Audit and Consultancy from September 1998 to February 2000, followed by a role as an Asst Manager at A. F. Ferguson & Co from May 1997 to September 1998. Pankaj also briefly served as the CFO -Asia Pacific at American Tower in 2008.

Throughout their career, Pankaj has demonstrated strong leadership, financial expertise, and strategic thinking.

Pankaj Kalra completed their education in a chronological order. Pankaj attended Shri Ram College of Commerce from 1993 to 1996 and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Commerce. Concurrently, from 1994 to 1997, Pankaj attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where they obtained the Chartered Accountant qualification. Additionally, they pursued Company Secretary studies at The Institute of Company Secretaries of India from 1994 to 1996.
