Ashok Som

Ashok Som is a Professor of Global Strategy at ESSEC Business School, where Ashok has served since September 2001. Som is the founding director of several prestigious programs, including the ESSEC-Parsons Executive Masters in Luxury Management & Design Innovation and the ESSEC-Glion Global Executive Management in Hospitality Leadership. Additionally, Som established the India Research Centre to advance management research related to India and Asia while fostering connections with France. As the founding associate dean of the Global MBA, Som led the launch of a one-year program aimed at enhancing ESSEC's brand. Som also brings experience as a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Stockholm, and an Habilitation from CY Cergy Paris Université.
