Melissa Noel

Melissa Noel is a seasoned journalist and media entrepreneur with extensive experience in the field of news and politics. Currently serving as the Contributing News and Politics Editor and Reporter for Essence Communications Inc., Melissa also holds the position of Founder and CEO of Mel & N Media Group, which focuses on developing diverse media content, particularly highlighting the Caribbean and African Diaspora. As the Founder and Executive Director of Destination Diaspora™, Melissa emphasizes the influence of the African Diaspora through travel and cultural connections. Additionally, Melissa contributes to journalism education with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and has held various roles at major media organizations, including CBS News, NBC News, and HuffPost. Melissa holds an M.A. in Journalism/International Relations from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in Journalism from Howard University.
