Marcela Sztainberg

Marcela Sztainberg is the current Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Essendant. Marcela has over fifteen years of experience in the field of human resources, with a focus on compensation and benefits.

Ms. Sztainberg began their career as a Compensation and Benefits Analyst at WMS Gaming in 2003. In this role, they conducted job evaluations, career leveling, benchmark analysis, and worked with management to create new job descriptions for employee retention. Ms. Sztainberg also established procedures to administer STD, LTD, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation absences. In 2006, they left WMS Gaming to start their own company, Buenos Aires Forever, LTD.

In 2008, Ms. Sztainberg returned to the field of human resources as a Sr Compensation & Benefits Analyst at US Cellular. In this role, they supported 9,000 associates and provided analysis, recommendations, and ad-hoc reports to HR, finance, and senior management regarding compensation. Ms. Sztainberg also directed HR personnel and management in complying with appropriate federal legislation in the handling of escalated benefit issues and leave of absence cases.

In their current role as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Essendant, Ms. Sztainberg is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function for the company. This includes developing and implementing strategies and programs that support the company’s business objectives, as well as managing the day-to-day

Marcela Sztainberg has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Stony Brook University and an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.

Marcela Sztainberg reports to Harry Dochelli, President. Marcela Sztainberg works with Andy Kiss - Senior Vice President, Information Technology, Renee Starr - Senior Vice President, Sales, and Ryon Wharton - Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO.
