Kristin Burks Phr

Kristin Burks, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kristin is currently the Director of People & Culture at Essense of Australia since July 2021. Prior to that, Kristin served as the HR Manager at Nazdar for 14 years, where they partnered with executive and leadership teams to implement HR strategies and policies. Kristin was responsible for company-wide training and development initiatives, including leadership development and change management. Before joining Nazdar, they worked as an HR Generalist at Ferrellgas, where they were involved in employee relations, training, performance evaluation, and recruitment. Kristin began their career as a Marketing Manager at Valdoro Mountain Lodge, where they played a crucial role in achieving marketing goals, managing reservations, and overseeing training and development of staff.

Kristin Burks, PHR, SHRM-CP, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Providence, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their degree, they have also earned several certifications in their field. In 2006, they became a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) through the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Recently, in May 2018, they obtained the PI Practitioner certification from The Predictive Index. Furthermore, they hold the certification of PI Certified Talent Optimization Leader from TalentOptimization.org by The Predictive Index. Lastly, they are also a SHRM-CP certified professional, awarded by SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
