Bas Verbruggen

Bas Verbruggen is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in architecture and system design. Currently serving as Lead System Architect at Essent since September 2025, Bas previously held the position of Architect Staven at Enexis Groep from December 2019 to September 2025. At Achmea, Bas worked from 2007 to 2019 in various roles, including Domain Architect for Distribution, where responsibilities involved managing customer contact processes and applications, and overseeing domain architecture for Achmea Leven. Earlier career highlights include senior roles as a Biztalk 2006 engineer at Achmea and an IT Consultant at Logica. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Science from Radboud University and participation in an Advanced IT Leadership Program at Nyenrode Business University.
