Frederik Vermeulen

Frederik Vermeulen has a diverse work experience in various IT roles. Frederik is currently working at Essent as the Head of IT Future Energy Home, where they are responsible for driving the digital energy business. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of IT Shared Services at Essent, where they focused on digital customer satisfaction and accelerating DevOps. Frederik also served as a Manager of IT Operations at Essent, responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of IT services. Additionally, Frederik has experience as an IT Delivery Manager and Manager of Test Capability at Essent. Before joining Essent, they worked at KPN as a Manager of Tooling and Automation. Prior to that, they were employed at KPN ICT Consulting as a Manager of App Development. Earlier in their career, they worked at KPN as a Project Manager and Management Trainee. Frederik's work experience also includes roles at Expertise in Labour Mobility as a Web Developer and Research Intern.

Frederik Vermeulen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies at the University of Groningen from 2006 to 2010. Frederik then pursued their Master of Arts degree in American Studies at Radboud University from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their academic education, they have obtained several certifications, including the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, the Essent Leadership Program certification from Essent in 2021, and the Serverless Web Apps using Amazon DynamoDB certification from Qwiklabs in 2020. Frederik has also received certifications in various fields such as Agile Scrum, ITIL V3 Foundation, and PRINCE2 Foundation.
