Gretchen Menzies

Gretchen Menzies is a business owner with extensive experience in the food and retail industries. Since 2015, Gretchen has operated the Katonah Reading Room, a café known for unique sandwiches, baked goods, and locally sourced market items. Additionally, since 2014, Gretchen has managed Little Joe's Coffee & Books, a popular coffee shop and bookstore offering a selection of children's literature and reading materials for adults. In 2004, Gretchen founded EssentialMom.com, further showcasing an entrepreneurial spirit. Prior experience includes serving as a social worker at Pius XII Youth & Family Services from 1994 to 2001, assisting high school students in the Bronx with support in academics and career guidance. Gretchen holds a Master's degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Colgate University.
