Ruben Meijs

Ruben Meijs is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Product Owner at Essent since March 2024. Previously, Ruben held the roles of Product Manager Payments and Business Analyst at Picnic Technologies from October 2020 to December 2023. Prior experience includes positions as a Student Assistant and Student Laboratory Assistant at Utrecht University from November 2018 to June 2020, where responsibilities included supporting mathematics courses and supervising high school students in scientific experiments. Ruben has also demonstrated leadership skills as Chairman of the Board for Studentenvereniging UMTC from September 2016 to September 2017 and contributed to student governance as a board member and representative in multiple committees at Utrecht University. Educationally, Ruben holds Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, along with Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Utrecht University, and completed a bilingual secondary education focusing on Natural Sciences and Technology.
