Richard Baskin is an experienced finance professional with a comprehensive background in risk management and investment strategies. Currently serving as Insight Partner and Senior Research Consultant at Essentia Analytics since November 2017, Baskin focuses on enhancing investment decisions for professional investors through behavioral data analytics. Prior roles include Director of Equity Risk Management at Point72 Asset Management, Managing Director and Deputy Head of Market Risk Management at Societe Generale, and Senior Vice President at LORGB Investment Advisors. Baskin has significant expertise in utilizing quantitative analysis for risk assessment and has held various leadership positions across major financial institutions such as Sakura Global Capital, Chemical Bank, and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. Richard Baskin holds a Master’s Degree in Forest Products and Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Wood Products Engineering and Industrial Engineering from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
