Dan Dalan

Dan Dalan is an experienced allergist currently serving as the Allergy Medical Director at Essentia Health since 2024. Previously, Dan worked at MercyOne from 2020 to 2024 and engaged in freelance consulting as a physician from 2013 to 2020, following a sabbatical focused on informatics studies. Dan operated a successful allergy, asthma, and immunology practice as a solo proprietor at Allergy & Asthma Care Center from 1997 to 2013 while also serving as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota. Dan's extensive background includes significant contributions as a Principal Investigator in 24 clinical trials and expertise in safety database management. Educational credentials include an MD from the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences, a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology from the University of Minnesota Medical School, and advanced degrees in Health Information Technology and Bioinformatics from Oregon Health & Science University.
