Michael Smurthwaite

Michael Smurthwaite is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the technology and energy sectors, currently serving as the DevOps Innovation Manager at Essential Energy since January 2010. Michael has held various roles at Essential Energy, including Delivery Team Lead and Agile Team Lead, and began a career in network systems support. Prior to Essential Energy, Michael worked at Country Energy in multiple capacities, such as Application Support Network Systems and Technical Support Officer. Michael's academic credentials include an Executive MBA from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Commerce from Charles Sturt University, complemented by a Bachelor of IT and a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University, as well as a Diploma of Business Management and a Certificate IV in Frontline Management from Port Macquarie TAFE.
