Katie Hyten is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in conflict resolution, program management, and education. As Co-Executive Director and Director of Program Operations at Essential Partners since 2014, Katie has trained individuals and designed processes to enhance collaboration and communication within teams, achieving significant positive outcomes in relationship building and engagement across differences. Katie's expertise also extends to academia as a Visiting Fellow at Tufts University, where a course on "Dialogue, Identity and Civic Action" is taught. Additionally, as an Independent Conflict Resolution Consultant, Katie has facilitated seminars at prestigious institutions, mediated numerous legal cases, and published insights on negotiation and mediation. Previous roles include Research Assistant at The Fletcher School, Fellow at Search for Common Ground, and Program Coordinator at Pepperdine University, showcasing a strong background in program development and grant proposal writing. Katie holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University.
