Scott Monroe has held a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. In 2020, they became the CEO & Founder of Essential Personnel, a people-centric platform designed specifically for Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS organizations. From 2017 to 2020, they served as the Sr. Vice President of Industry & Government Relations and Sr. Vice President of Business Development at Barnacle Parking (ITSA Solutions LLC). From 2011 to 2017, they held several roles with the United States Marine Forces Reserve, including Logistics Officer, Inspector, Force Readiness Activation Assessment Program, Battalion Executive Officer, Company Commander, and Operations Officer. From 2011 to 2017, they also served as a Master Fire Fighter, EMT-B, and Technical Rescue Specialist with the City of Wilmington, NC. From 2006 to 2011, they served as a Logistics Officer with the United States Marine Corps.

Scott Monroe attended Eastern Kentucky University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire & Safety Engineering Technology. Scott then attended Marshall University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Leadership Studies.
