Colette Black

Colette Black is an accomplished professional in human resources and people services with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of People Services and Assistant Chief Executive at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service since February 2017, Colette has previously held significant positions including Director of HR and Safeguarding at the Diocese of London from January 2014 to January 2017, and Senior HR Manager at Care UK from January 2008 to January 2017. Colette's career began as a Senior HR Consultant at Northgate Information Solutions from 2006 to January 2008. Colette is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Psychology at the University of Essex, expected to complete in March 2024, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from Anglia Ruskin University completed in 1997.
