Jenabu C. Williams

Jenabu C. Williams has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. They started their career in 1992 as the Director of Residential Services at Youth Consultation Service (YCS), where they managed the delivery of services to 98 clients in residential placement programs. In 1999, they served as the Interim Executive Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson, & Union Counties, NJ, overseeing the organization's operations and managing personnel and budgetary matters.

In 2008, Williams joined The Gateway Family YMCA as the Associate Executive Director, where they provided mentoring services to young men facing adversity and established partnerships with public school districts. In 2011, they transitioned to a role as an Elementary Special Education Teacher at Plainfield Board of Education, delivering instruction and developing behavioral systems for students with disabilities.

Williams joined The Boys' Club of New York in 2015 as the Director of Education and Dean of Gardiner School, responsible for administering education programs and providing academic support. They then moved to Paterson Board Of Education in 2016, initially as a Special Education Teacher and later as the Special Education Supervisor, overseeing a behavior disorder program and ensuring compliance with education laws.

Most recently, Williams has been working at ECVTS since 2019 in various roles. They served as the Vice Principal, assisting the Principal in school administration and program evaluation. Williams also took on the role of Supervisor of the Adult Education Program and Harassment Intimidation & Bullying Coordinator. Currently, they hold the position of School Principal and are also the Summer School Principal.

Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University - Newark, completing it from 2007 to 2009. In 2016 to 2018, they earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in School Leadership from Montclair State University. Presently, Jenabu is working towards obtaining a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Kean University, expected to be completed from 2021 to 2024. Jenabu C. has also acquired certifications in various fields, including School Superintendent/Administrator, Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers, NJ Principal Certification, and New Jersey Supervisor Certification.
