Rick Wurzelbacher

Rick Wurzelbacher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in construction and development. Currently retired since February 2021, Rick served as Vice President of Construction and Development at Essex Property Trust from September 2012, overseeing the management of new apartment communities from entitlement to stabilization. Prior to this, Rick was the Owner of Aileron Designs, focusing on consumer product design from July 2008 to September 2012. Additionally, Rick worked as Principal and General Manager for The Mark Pringle Company, specializing in single-family development and homebuilding from January 2003 to July 2008. Rick's extensive background in the San Francisco Bay Area includes a notable tenure as Vice President Development and Managing Director at SummerHill Homes from 1989 to September 2002. Rick holds a Master of Architecture in Architecture & Environmental Design from Miami University, earned between 1974 and 1980, and is a graduate of St Xavier High School, class of 1974.
