Ricardo Pontes

Ricardo Pontes serves as the Legal Director for M&A and Transactions in Latin America at EssilorLuxottica since March 2022, following a tenure as Senior Legal Manager for Brazil and Legal Supervisor for Contracts & Insurance at Essilor from December 2014 to May 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Director at TR Accioli Pontes, overseeing operations related to importing and selling accessories, and holding the position of Senior Legal Counsel at BG Group, where legal guidance was provided to the Exploration and Production division. Additionally, experience as Legal Counsel at CADAM S.A. involved legal oversight of mining activities. Ricardo Pontes earned an MBA in Business Law from IAG da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, completed in 2000.
