Caio Ramos

Caio Ramos is a skilled Scientific Software Developer at ESSS since April 2023, specializing in the enhancement of the ALFAsim software for dynamic multiphase flow simulations, particularly in CO2-rich fluid applications related to CCUS and flow assurance. With extensive experience as a Research Assistant at EESC-USP since March 2017, Caio contributes to the development of the SCIEnCE library for structural analysis through the Generalized Finite Element Method. A former Visiting Researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Caio played a key role in creating a machine learning surrogate model for predicting airport pavement service life in collaboration with ASU and the FAA. Previous experience includes a Civil Engineering internship at Enel, focusing on project development and team supervision. Educational credentials include a PhD and MSc in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from EESC-USP and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Goiás.
