Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced professional with a strong background in project management and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Manager in Capital & Project Management at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. since May 2013. Responsibilities include leading the development of project schedules for construction and engineering of new manufacturing plants, managing change control processes, and coordinating capital budget development. Previous roles include Manager of APAC Project Engineering and Global Project Engineering, as well as experience in resource planning and production management. Michael initiated significant cost savings through various process improvements and has a solid foundation in logistics and supply chain management, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University. Additional experience includes operational roles in food service and analytical work in educational testing.
