Maret Maripuu serves as the Director General of the Estonian Social Insurance Board since July 2022, following a distinguished tenure as Director General of the Labour Inspectorate from January 2014 to July 2022. Maret held positions as a Member of the Parliament of Estonia from February 2009 to December 2013 and again from March 2003 to March 2007. Maret also demonstrated leadership as the Minister of Social Affairs from April 2007 to February 2009 and chaired the Tallinn City Council from December 2001 to April 2005. Maret holds a Master's degree in Health Services from the University of Tartu and a Master's degree in Law from Akadeemia Nord.
