Søren Karas

Søren Karas is the Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at Esvagt. Søren has previously held positions as the Chief Commercial Officer at Maersk Supply Service and as the Vice President, Head of Group Strategy at Maersk Group. Søren has also been the Vice President of Africa Product Portfolio at A.P. Moller - Maersk Group.

Søren has over 19 years of experience in the maritime industry. Søren has a vast knowledge of the Energy industry and has been instrumental in developing and optimising the overall portfolio strategy for the A.P.Moller-Maersk Group of companies. Søren is a strategic thinker and excellent communicator, who has proven himself time and time again in their various roles within the maritime industry.

Søren Karas has an MBA from the University of Chicago and has also completed the Executive Board Programme at INSEAD. Søren has also completed management courses at IMD.

Søren Karas reports to Peter Lytzen, CEO. They work with Kristian Ole Jakobsen - Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Nick Vejlgaard Ørskov - Chief HR Officer, and Sisse Mai - Chief Financial Officer.
