Kaveh Asalian

VP, Engineering at Eta Vision

Kaveh Asalian is the VP of Engineering at Eta Vision. Kaveh has over eight years of experience working in the energy sector, specifically with electrical grids. Kaveh has a deep understanding of how to integrate various systems, as well as how to secure and manage networks.

Asalian began their career in 2010 as a Senior Architect at Xcel Energy. Kaveh was responsible for leading the design and implementation of the company's Advanced Metering Infrastructure project. This project was a success, and Asalian was able to show their superiors their skills in managing large-scale projects. Kaveh was also put in charge of the GIS Transmission program, which they successfully completed under budget.

Asalian's greatest achievement at Xcel Energy was designing a service-oriented architecture for asset management. This new system saved the company millions of dollars per year. Kaveh also designed and implemented a light viewer that displayed substation internals and connectivity models for both mobile and non-mobile users. This viewer was so successful that it became standard practice for all Xcel Energy employees.

In 2018, Asalian left Xcel Energy to take on a new challenge as the VP of Engineering at Eta Vision. In this role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing all product development. Kaveh is also responsible for presenting and initiating new projects to the senior leadership team. Under Asalian's leadership, Eta Vision has become a top provider of energy solutions.

Kaveh Asalian has a B.Sc. in Computer Science from York University, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from York University.
