Mike K. is an accomplished award-winning filmmaker and CEO of Widescreen Entertainment since 2005, with a remarkable portfolio that includes 23 international Best Director awards and recognition from festivals across multiple countries. Currently, Mike serves as a member of the Unreal Fellowship at Epic Games, focusing on real-time production using Unreal Engine, and is also a member of the Entertainment Technology Center at USC, exploring new entertainment technologies. Memberships in the Producers Guild of America, Visual Effects Society, Writers Guild of America West, and the American Film Institute further underscore Mike's dedication to the industry. Prior experience includes leading Wild Magic from 1997 to 2005 and working as a filmmaker at Swashbuckler Films from 1988 to 2005. Mike holds a B.A. in Film Music Composition from UCLA and has pursued continuing professional education at the University of Southern California.

The Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California (ETC@USC) is a think tank and research center that brings together senior executives, innovators, thought leaders, and catalysts from the entertainment, consumer electronics, technology, and services industries along with the academic resources of the University of Southern California to explore and to act upon topics and issues related to the creation, distribution, and consumption of entertainment content. As an organization within the USC School of Cinematic Arts, ETC helps drive collaborative projects among its member companies and engages with next generation consumers to understand the impact of emerging technology on all aspects of the entertainment industry, especially technology development and implementation, the creative process, business models, and future trends.
