Daniel Velez

Daniel Velez has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and security. Daniel is currently working as a Client Experience Designer at ETEK International Corporation since 2022.

Before joining ETEK, Daniel worked as a Support Engineer at McAfee from 2020 to 2021.

Prior to that, they held multiple roles at ETEK INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION. As a Senior OSE from 2015 to 2020, they were responsible for leading the on-site security engineer's team and providing critical perimeter security solutions for VIP customers. Daniel also carried out preventive and corrective maintenances and created work plans. Earlier, as a Support & Maintenance Senior Engineer from 2015 to 2020, they planned, implemented, and supported critical perimeter security solutions for VIP customers, including Chassis, VSX, and CloudGuards. Daniel also prepared service reports and improvement plans.

Additionally, Daniel worked as a Network Security Engineer at Oesia in 2015 and as a Professor at Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios from 2013 to 2015.

Their early career experience includes working as a Network Engineer at ZTE. In this role, they were responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting data transport equipment for clients in Cali. Daniel ensured the availability and quality of services such as telephone, internet, and IPTV through MPLS-based architecture. Daniel also conducted trainings and provided support for the newly acquired equipment and platforms.

Daniel Velez attended Universidad del Valle (CO) from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Ingeniero Electrónico with a focus on Ingeniería eléctrica, electrónica y de comunicaciones. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including CCSM from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in August 2019, CCSE in August 2017, CCSA in June 2016, and CCNAS from Cisco (specific month and year not provided).
